After having listened to this release for a few months now, I can't help but still coming back to it nearly daily. A very nice, short, and devilishly cool EP that personally will never get old.

With his effortlessly unique brand of electronic pop, Oceaán's self-titled debut EP saw its protagonist, Oliver Cean, thrust into the spotlight with acclaim coming from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and KCRW as well as online tastemakers such as FADER, Dazed and Confused, Electronic Beats and many more.
On 'The Grip' EP, Cean's work continues to expand on its electronic foundations with awe-inspriring new intricacies and explorative influences. Says Cean of the new EP :
"I wanted to explore the duality between lyrical context and conceptual production. Taking influences from many facets of electronic music, my main aim was to investigate the effectiveness of songwriting within the electronic plane - whether it be marrying a lyrical concept with similar tonal aspects (inherently present within the production), and more importantly, creating and displaying disparity between them."
Oceaán's forthcoming new EP 'The Grip' is set for release on December 8th on B3SCI Records (US) / Chess Club (UK). The Manchester-via-Brussels producer Oceaán's new single "Veritas" takes the lead from Grip's infectious and scattered beats. "Veritas" locks into a new groove, bouncing with an unbridled vibrancy as Oliver Cean's debonair vocal takes center stage.
